Uptown is a diverse community located north of downtown Chicago with its borders from Foster to the north, Irving Park to the south, Lake Michigan to the east, and Ashland to the west.

Uptown is known for its historic entertainment options with the Aragon Ballroom, the Riviera Theatre, and Green Mill jazz club. Music legends ranging from Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, and U2 have graced the stage of the Aragon. Uptown has scenic views of Lake Michigan and easy access to Lincoln Park and downtown via Lakeshore Drive. The neighborhood has recently gone through some major revitalization with new restaurants, bookstores, and shops bringing new commerce to the area.

Grandiose mansions, high rises, and two and three flats line the streets of this blooming community. There are still many opportunities for affordable housing and conversions all across Uptown.
