Scottsdale is a community located ten miles southwest of Chicago’s Loop, with its borders from 75^th north, 87^th south, Kostner east, and Cicero west.

The population of Scottsdale was predominately Irish-Catholic but has diversified greatly in recent years. Chicago fire fighters and policemen heavily populate the area. The neighborhood’s population boomed during the post WWII era, and many of those people who moved in still reside there today. Scottsdale is primarily known for its proximity to Midway Airport and easy access to expressways.
