Lincoln Square Chicago Real Estate Conditions
Lincoln Square is a community northwest of Lakeview that has
its borders from Foster to the north, Montrose to the south, Damen to the east
and the Chicago River to the west. The neighborhood encompasses the smaller communities of
Ravenswood Gardens, Ravenswood Manor, Bowmanville and Budlong Woods.
Lincoln Square is known for its German Heritage, which is
reflected in the shops, dining, architecture, and is home to Chicago branches of DANK
(the German-American
National Congress) and the Niedersachsen Club. The area does have a growing
middle-eastern and Thai community located at the neighborhood’s center. Lincoln
square also features trendier new shops and dining options as well as the
famous Old Town School of Folk music, where many famous musical artists come to
preform.
The neighborhood is filled with many vintage multi-units and newer
single family homes. The area continues to gentrify and has many new
construction options. Another area known for its green, the area contains lots
of larger grass and tree filled lots.
