The Gold Coast is a neighborhood known for its luxury shopping and housing options. The community is occupied by some of the city’s wealthiest residents. This area is bordered by North Avenue to the north, Oak Street to the South, Lake Michigan to the east, and LaSalle Avenue to the west.

Generally considered to be a part of the city’s downtown area, the Gold Coast is home to the world famous shopping district down the stretch of Michigan Avenue dubbed the “Magnificent Mile.” Residents have many entertainment options with city landmarks such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, Water Tower, Hancock Tower, Oak Street Beach, Navy Pier, with many nightclubs and fine dinning opportunities.
