Garfield Ridge is a community located on the far southwest corridor of Chicago, with its borders at 51^st Street north, 63^rd Street south, Cicero east, and Harlem west.

Polish immigrants comprised the majority of residents during the community’s settlement, but the area became increasingly diverse with many Latino residents moving in during the 1990’s. Garfield Ridge is transportation ready, with access to the Stevenson Expressway, the Orange Line, and Midway Airport. With the addition of Midway, Garfield Ridge has had increased commerce and a boom in population, which has led to new construction and development within the community.

Ranches, Bungalows, and Multi-units dominate the architectural landscape, but due to the increase in population, many developers have brought new construction options to the area.
