Garfield Park Chicago Real Estate Conditions
Garfield Park is an up and coming neighborhood located
directly west of the loop and is a part of Chicago’s west side community. The
boundries are north by Chicago Avenue, south by expressway I-290, east by
Western Avenue, and west by Cicero Avenue The community is divided into east
and western sections.
The northern boundries of this community have undergone a
great deal of gentrification is recent years, with new development springing up
daily. The community’s most noted feature is the Garfield Park and Conservatory
located at the intersection of Lake and Central Park Avenue. The park has the largest botanical garden in
Chicago and has many enrichment programs for families to share.
New condominiums have taken over some of the landscape
of East Garfield Park, but the western portion of the community is still know
for the bungalows, multi-units, and ranch style homes.
