Gage Park Chicago Real Estate Conditions
Gage Park is a community located seven miles southwest
of Chicago’s Loop with its borders at 53rd Street north,
60th Street south, Western Avenue east, and Pulaksi west.
Gage’s namesake
park offers recreation programs such as indoor basketball leagues, soccer
leagues, as well as a field house for seasonal events within the community.
Dutch and German immigrants originally settled the community because of the
prevalence of jobs at the Union Stockyards. Today Gage Park is primarily middle
class, Latino neighborhood, although it is becoming increasingly racially
diverse.
The community is known for its well-kept bungalows that
line the streets.
