Though the community is known for it’s Swedish culture and establishments such as Ann Sather and the Swedish American Museum, many American, Persian, Andean, Asian and Turkish restaurants and shops have started to line the very inviting stretch on Clark Street. The rainbow flags lining the streets signify the presence of the gay/lesbian community, which has integrated into this community.
