Albany Park is also diverse when it comes to the realm of architecture. This neighborhood’s landscape is beset with multi-flats and courtyard building near the Brown line L at Lawrence and Kimball, two and three flats further away, and bungalows in the western areas.

With a population of 58,000 it is a gateway community, a major port of entry for new arrivals from around the globe. People of different cultures have been making Albany Park their second home since 1907, when the Ravenswood el began to bring development to the sparsely populated neighborhood around Kimball and Lawrence avenues.

Albany Park's cultural diversity enriches the neighborhood. Along Lawrence Avenue, the heart of Albany Park was renamed Seoul Drive because of the many Korean-owned business that line the streets.

The neighborhood is also bordered by the Chicago River, which makes for some very scenic and peaceful chill-out spots in the surrounding park area.
